Description

Under the direction of the VP Carrier & Wireless Sales – New Initiatives, the Global Account Manager (GAM) is accountable for Global revenue generated as a result of direct sales and assigned Carrier channel partner(s). This position incorporates both selling to designated Carriers as well as selling through Carriers via their Managed Service offerings.

The GAM must establish and nurture relationships at all levels of the organization as appropriate, departmental through line of business and to the executive level. They must bring together a specific knowledge of the Telecom & Wireless market, carrier product requirements, and infrastructure technology trends and apply this knowledge to sell Fluke Networks’ solutions. The GAM will be required to prospect and close direct business with assigned Carriers as well as manage an extended team of associates to meet and exceed assigned quota, set overall account strategy, and drive innovative solutions.

The candidate must exhibit an ability to effectively direct regional sales operations through the development and management of both FNET direct sales staff and Channel partner’s sales staff as shown by successful past experience in a similar position. The role is responsible for the leadership of the carrier sales team and the team’s success. The person must have a strong working knowledge of Carrier (Telco) operations and process.

Responsible for selling Fluke Networks products and services to assigned Carriers:

- Must have experience selling into a large telecommunications carrier and/or MSO, (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, Time Warner, Charter etc.).
- Set the overall account strategies. The strategy is inclusive of all product solutions and must align with the strategic direction of the Carrier to maximize FNET sales opportunities.
- Identify, Focus, Grow and Develop the Strategic Account and segments; and be Responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key customer contacts and Senior Level customer relationships.
- Execute sales strategies to achieve business plan/revenue goals and expand market penetration.

· Customer Account Management at a regional / multi-country level.

· Strong business acumen with the ability to influence outcomes across multiple

regional locations

· Leadership and people management capability, demonstrable through effective communication

This job requires a high frequency of travel and sales calls to all divisions within assigned Carriers, including face-to-face and phone meetings, developing detailed business plans, coordinate technical demonstrations and actively maintaining customer information in Salesforce.com.

Qualifications

- Direct Sales to Major Carrier and/or MSO – Minimum 4 years experieince

- Wireless Technologies (LTE, SS7, VoIP, GPRS, UMTS)
- Wireless and IP Applications and performance soluiotns

· Excellent financial and process analytical skills

- Bachelors or advanced degree in Engineering/Business/Telecommunications

· Ability to work effectively in a customer driven deadline environment

In addition, MUST have a competitive edge with great communication skills (oral and written) and have the ability to work independently with minimum guidance or supervision.
